Intrusion Alarm System (IAS)
Prototype development

What is the Intrusion Alarm System?

The Intrusion Alarm System (IAS) is a prototype device designed to monitor computers or servers for unauthorized access. When unauthorized access is detected, it triggers a physical alarm to alert the cybersecurity officer. The IAS also serves as a prevention system by allowing the officer to block unauthorized network activity.

The device resembles a set of traffic lights, with the green light indicating operational status, the yellow light indicating a trusted connection, and the red light with a buzzer alerting to unauthorized connections. The IAS application monitors network IP address connections on a designated port and compares them to a list of trusted IPs. It can also block untrusted connections in the Windows application layer firewall.

The IAS provides early detection and blocking of unauthorized network activity, particularly on open network ports commonly exploited by cybercriminals. The system is currently in development with a basic working prototype, and updates can be found in my video updates.
